I think people sometimes confuse giving an AI more autonomy with actually making it reliable. In production, the hard part is knowing where it should act on its own and where it needs to slow down, verify, or hand things over to a human. A smart agent without clear boundaries can honestly create more problems than it solves.

If an agent can reliably take action, resolve routine issues end-to-end, and escalate the exceptions with context intact, that’s where the real impact on support efficiency becomes clear.

Which platforms actually tak

Exactly. Giving AI more access only helps if that access is properly controlled. Granular permissions, clear business rules, reliable integrations, and human escalation create the guardrails that make agentic AI practical. The best platforms won’t just make AI more capable; they’ll make it capable within safe boundaries.

Which platforms actually tak

Exactly. That’s where the real value of AI agents starts to show. If the AI can safely complete routine tasks instead of simply explaining how to do them, it removes work from the support queue and gives customers faster resolutions. The goal should be fewer steps for both the customer and the support team.

The real measure of an AI support agent shouldn’t be how many conversations it can handle, but how many customer issues it can actually resolve. When integrations and reliable workflows let AI complete tasks safely and hand off complex cases with context intact, it becomes a true operational tool rather than just another chatbot.

Answering FAQs is useful, but the real value comes when an agent can take action—check an order, update information, process a request, or escalate to a human with the full context intact. The quality of the response still matters, but I’d argue that successful resolution matters even more.… Read more

That said, SaaS still makes sense for complex, business-critical systems where security, maintenance, and…
