Every SaaS Seems to Have an AI Agent Now. Is It Actually Helping?

Over the past year, one change has become hard to ignore.

Product updates that used to announce new integrations or workflow improvements are now announcing an AI agent..

Whether it’s project management, CRM, accounting, marketing, or customer support, the message is often the same:

“Meet your new AI teammate.”

I’m not against the trend at all.

In fact, I think AI has genuinely improved a lot of SaaS products.

What I’m curious about is whether we’re reaching the point where every product feels obligated to have an AI agent, regardless of whether it’s the best solution for the problem.
