Will AI make online shopping more competitive?

Yes, I personally think AI will make online shopping more competitive but not necessarily in the traditional sense. It can reduce the obstacles for enterprises to comprehend customers needs, enhance their services and contend with bigger brands. Simultaneously, it might be difficult for companies to stand out because buyers will have AI tools doing so much of the contrast for them.
If AI agents become the major way people find products, visibility can become more challenging. Thousands of enterprises might sell similar products but the AI may suggest a few. It could make factors such as a brand trust, product reviews, detailed information and strong SEO even more essential.
AI could build a more competitive marketplace where enterprises compete not only for human attention but also for AI suggestions.

The real winners won’t be the ones with the best AI they’ll be the ones with the most trustworthy data, because when every shopper has an AI, trust is the only moat that can’t be copied.

Heavy on the visibility part especially for smaller business who will be competing against big businesses that have the metrics in their favour. Factors such as product reviews, a strong online presence and an even stronger SEO may be just the thing some of the smaller businesses needs of they would survive the AI shopping era.
