I’ve noticed Coolify being mentioned more and more whenever people talk about self-hosting SaaS applications.

Most of the discussion seems to focus on how easy it is to get started.

What I’m more interested in is what happens after the initial setup.

It’s one thing to deploy a side project.

It’s another to run something that customers depend on every day.

I’m curious about the parts that don’t usually show up in YouTube demos or comparison articles.

Things like:

• How reliable has it been over time?

• Have upgrades been smooth or have they caused unexpected issues?

• How much ongoing maintenance does it actually require?

• Has it reduced your infrastructure costs enough to justify self-hosting?

I’m not necessarily looking for reasons to switch from another platform.

I’m just trying to understand what the long-term experience looks like once the excitement of the initial deployment wears off.

If you’re running Coolify in production today, would you choose it again for a new SaaS project?
