The interesting question isn’t whether AI can build software cheaply. It clearly can. The harder question is what happens six months later.<div>A company might replace an expensive SaaS subscription with an AI built internal tool and dramatically reduce its monthly bill. But who handles security patches, broken integrations, API changes, backups, bugs, documentation, and future development?</div><div>That could create a new kind of software cost: ownership debt.</div>
