If you could relaunch your SaaS today, what would you change?
I was talking with another founder recently, and something they said stuck with me:
“I wouldn’t rebuild the product. I’d rebuild the launch.”
It made me realize that hindsight changes more than just the roadmap.
You learn who your ideal customers actually are.
You find out which messages resonate and which ones fall flat.
You discover features that seemed essential but barely got used—and others that became unexpectedly important.
None of those lessons are obvious before real users start interacting with your product.
So here’s a hypothetical:
You get to relaunch your SaaS today.
The product is wiped clean, but you keep everything you’ve learned from building and growing it.
Would you target the same audience?
Would you change your pricing, onboarding, or positioning?
Would you spend less time coding and more time talking to customers?
Or would you make almost no changes because the original path was the right one?
I’m not looking for the biggest mistake or the biggest success, I’m interested in the one change that you believe would have had the greatest impact if you could do the launch all over again.
