Chatbase API & Testing
Chatbase’s REST API (v2) lets developers create, train, chat with, and manage AI agents programmatically. Key features include agent management, real-time streaming responses, conversation handling, and custom action support, all secured with API keys.
For testing, the Playground provides live previews of agent behavior across channels, while Compare mode evaluates different models side-by-side. You can also revise answers into training data and use Backstage for natural-language debugging.
Together, the API and testing tools make it easy to build, validate, and scale reliable AI agents.

Rank: Chatbase API & TestingThat’s what makes the API useful beyond a basic chatbot setup. Developers can integrate the agent directly into their own products and workflows instead of relying entirely on the dashboard. Streaming responses and custom actions are especially useful when you need the AI to feel more responsive and actually interact with other systems.

Rank: Chatbase API & TestingThe combination of the API and testing tools is what makes this interesting for developers. Being able to build and manage agents programmatically is great, but having a way to test responses, compare models, and debug behavior before pushing changes to production is just as important. It makes the whole process feel much less like guesswork.

Rank: Chatbase API & TestingGreat breakdown. The API and testing tools together make it easier to build something reliable, not just functional. Being able to debug, compare models, and test before going live removes a lot of the guesswork.

Rank: Chatbase API & TestingAPI access makes AI support much more flexible because businesses can connect it to their existing workflows instead of treating the AI as a standalone tool. Testing is especially important because real conversations can behave very differently from simple demo prompts.
