The biggest shift is that businesses are no longer comparing software purely on features or price, they’re comparing how much useful work the product can actually take off their team’s plate.
I especially like the distinction between traditional SaaS and AI-native tools. An alternative becomes much more compelling when it can automate an entire workflow rather than simply provide another place for employees to do the work manually.
