In the past SaaS used to be about giving people better tools but right now all that has changed because people are starting to expect software to actually do the work for them instead of just giving them tools to do the work. The more work you let AI do, the more you expect it to get it done right. If the only function of an AI is giving you information and along the line it gets something wrong, you can check it yourself and make corrections but if the AI is actually taking actions, then a mistake can cause a real problem.
