What interests me most is that Backstage could eventually make the whole idea of “managing software” feel outdated.Instead of hunting through settings to fix something, you could simply tell the agent what problem you’re seeing and let it figure out the steps, explain the reasoning, and ask for approval.

The real test, though, is when something goes wrong. If it can explain why it recommends a change instead of just making one, that’s where I think the real value is.
