The maintenance side is probably where the tradeoff becomes clearer. A customization can solve a real problem today, but if it needs constant updates whenever the product or model changes, it can slowly become more work than expected. I’d be interested in whether teams are starting to set limits on customization so the AI stays flexible without creating another system they have to maintain.
