I have always thought the waitlist question depends on what you’re trying to learn before launch. A waitlist can be useful if you need to validate whether there is enough interest to justify building the product, especially when you’re targeting a specific niche. It can also give you an initial group of people to interview, test onboarding with, and bring into early feature decisions.
