I think we’re still figuring out what the “standard” looks like. A lot of companies are adding AI agents because everyone else is doing it but it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ve proven the revenue case. Some are probably seeing meaningful improvements while others are just moving an FAQ bot into a more conversational interface. Personally I would give it time before assuming that AI agents have universally beaten live chat.
