This raises a bigger issue than regulation alone: who is actually responsible when increasingly autonomous AI systems cause real world harm? As models gain the ability to act, access systems, and operate with less human intervention, safety testing can’t remain something that happens only inside the lab. The real challenge is creating clear accountability without slowing useful innovation unnecessarily.
