10x ARR growth in six months is an impressive signal, but it doesn’t automatically prove the autonomous-company thesis yet. The bigger test will be retention and whether customers continue trusting agents as the workflows become more consequential. I expect the near-term model to be autonomous operations with human governance, rather than companies where AI has complete control. But if these systems can reliably execute infrastructure, finance, and back-office tasks with strong guardrails and audit trails, then this could absolutely become a major new SaaS category.
