I concur with your conclusion about human oversight. We are moving the conversation away from AI replacing humans and toward AI augmenting them. The limitation about it right now is that many AI alternatives are not designed with a “hand-off” in mind. A truly great AI alternative shouldn’t just try to solve everything; it should be self-aware enough to know when it’s out of its depth and seamlessly escalate the issue to a human without the customer ever feeling a gap in service.
