Automation rate alone isn’t enough. I’d look at resolution rate, repeat contacts, escalation rates, customer satisfaction and whether customers actually get their problem solved. If the AI handles 80% of conversations but customers keep coming back because the answers aren’t useful, the automation number doesn’t mean much
